Help Bring Passover to Those in Need
One of the beautiful traditions of Passover is sharing that sense of freedom with others. For generations, Jewish communities have practiced Kimcha D’Pischa raising funds before the holiday to ensure that every family can celebrate with food, dignity, and joy. Giving to others before Passover is one of the ways we truly experience freedom.
At JSL and through the East Side Kitchen project, we strive to give locals a taste of that freedom by making sure everyone can celebrate with warmth, dignity, and community.
This year, for the first time, JSL will be offering hundreds of hot, fresh Passover and Seder meals to locals and families in need, along with 100 subsidized Seder seats for community members to celebrate together, 400 hand-baked Shmurah Matzah deliveries, and five Passover holiday programs and activities.
The total cost of these efforts is over $20,000.
